Booking conditions

How booking works

Every booking starts with an enquiry — through the contact page, by email, or on WhatsApp. George confirms the tour, the date, availability, services, and total price with you personally. An enquiry is not a booking and nothing is charged through this website. A booking becomes binding only when you receive written confirmation and meet any payment condition stated in that confirmation.

Package-travel information

Some tours combine guiding, accommodation, and other travel services and may be a package under Irish law. Before you are bound by a qualifying package booking, we will give you the prescribed pre-contract information, the organiser’s full details, the cancellation terms, and the applicable insolvency-protection information. No payment for a qualifying package should be made until those details have been supplied with your booking documents.

Group size

Guided tours run with a minimum of 3 riders and a maximum of 12. If a departure doesn’t reach the minimum, we’ll offer you another date — or a full refund of anything you’ve paid. Bespoke one-on-one tours can be arranged separately.

What’s included — and what isn’t

• A typical tour price includes overnight accommodation with breakfast and George as your guide for the full route.
• Not included: lunches, evening meals, and petrol.

The exact accommodation, services, roadside-assistance arrangements, and exclusions for your departure will be confirmed in writing before you book. Nothing is included unless it appears in those booking documents.

What you’ll need

• A full motorcycle licence valid for the bike you ride.
• Your own roadworthy motorcycle, taxed and insured for use in Ireland.
• Proper riding gear — helmet (required by law), and clothing suited to Irish weather.
• The ability to carry your own luggage on your bike — you need very little for a short tour.

Riding and safety

All tours are run strictly in accordance with Road Traffic Laws and guidelines. The safety of riders and everyone we share the road with comes first — your guide’s decisions on routes, pace, and weather are final. Each day starts with a short briefing.

Weather and changes

Ireland rides well in most weather, and tours go ahead rain or shine. If a route or a day has to change on safety grounds, George will re-plan around it. If we have to cancel a tour entirely, you’ll be offered another date or a full refund of anything you’ve paid.

If you need to cancel

Tell us as early as you can. Where possible we’ll move your booking to another available date instead of cancelling. The cancellation charges and refund timetable that apply will be clearly stated before you book. Any rights that apply under package-travel or other consumer law remain unaffected.

Insurance and personal responsibility

You are responsible for suitable motorcycle, medical, personal-accident, cancellation, and travel insurance for your circumstances. You must tell us about any medical condition or accessibility need that could materially affect safe participation so we can discuss reasonable arrangements before booking.

Problems and assistance

If anything is wrong during a tour, tell George as soon as possible so there is a fair chance to put it right. For a formal complaint, email george@wildatlanticbiker.com with the booking details and what happened. We will acknowledge it promptly and respond in writing.
